Santry Stadium was opened in 1958. It has been
the venue for many World Records and world class performances
by many of the top names in International athletics.
In the early 1990's the stadium was re-named after its
original founder, the late Billy Morton. The facilities
on offer are the finest and most advanced in Ireland.
Featuring the highest standard of synthetic
surface available, the 400 metre track comprises an
eight lane circuit with ten lanes on the finishing 100
metres. The magnificent facilities include four out
door long jump pits, an all weather shot putt area and
state of the art equipment for all track and field events.
Spectators are also well catered for with an 800 seater
covered stand and room for another 8000 who can view
activities from the terraces. A modern public address
systen ensures that spectators are always aware of all
that is happening both on and off the track.
Clonliffe Harriers has a history of success in all
cross-country, track and field events in all categories.
